Since opening in 1998, Bishan Stadium has played a significant role in Singapore’s sporting landscape, hosting major athletics competitions and supporting athlete development at every level.
Originally installed by TCB Sports, the stadium’s athletics track has undergone multiple upgrades throughout its history, including preparations for the 2009 Asian Youth Games and the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games. In 2025, TCB Sports once again returned to resurface the facility using the Rekortan M athletics track system.
Recognised globally for its durability, shock absorption and energy return characteristics, Rekortan M continues to be one of the preferred surfaces for international athletics venues. The new installation delivers reliable performance for both training and competition while supporting the long-term operational requirements of a busy multi-purpose stadium.
Achieving Class 1 World Athletics certification, the resurfaced track reinforces Bishan Stadium’s position as a premier athletics venue capable of hosting elite international competition while providing a world-class experience for athletes year-round.
