Prestige Sports Surfaces transformed an unused backyard space into a custom-designed Laykold multi-sport court that combines high-performance playability with personalised artwork.
Inspired by international Laykold art courts, the design centred around a bold lion graphic envisioned by the homeowner’s eight-year-old son. Working closely with local designer Paganne Smith, the project team developed a colour palette that complemented the surrounding home while creating a visually striking centrepiece.
Using precision laser technology, detailed grid layouts and meticulous masking techniques, the artwork was carefully applied to the Laykold acrylic court surface. The completed court delivers a durable, low-maintenance space suitable for basketball, pickleball and tennis, while showcasing how custom sports court design can transform residential recreation areas into something truly unique.
