Grassports partnered with Mount Lilydale Mercy College to create a modern multi-sport facility that transformed an underutilised grass paddock into a dynamic sporting environment for students.
Spanning approximately 6,800m², the project included extensive civil and construction works, incorporating excavation, drainage, stabilisation, fencing and the installation of a shockpad system beneath the playing surface. At the heart of the development is Australian-made Poligras Eco HT, a durable sand-dressed synthetic hockey turf system designed specifically for hockey and multi-sports where irrigation may be limited.
The FIH Multi-Sport Classified surface also carries an ITF Pace Rating 4 (Medium Fast), making it ideal for combined hockey and school tennis applications. Complementing the main field are four tennis courts, a sprint track, long jump facilities and a custom school crest by SignGrass, creating a versatile school sports facility that supports both curriculum and community use.
