Wallan Secondary College has transformed underutilised outdoor areas into a vibrant multi-sport precinct designed to encourage student participation, recreation and physical activity throughout the school day.
Delivered by Easy Turf, the project incorporated 3,500m² of synthetic turf surfacing across a variety of sporting and recreational spaces. The development includes basketball and netball courts surfaced with Australian-made Supergrasse Court Turf PE, volleyball courts installed with exclusive League 40 turf, manufactured by APT Asia Pacific, Hot Shots tennis courts, Four Square zones and landscaped gathering areas designed to support both organised sport and informal play.
Extensive site preparation works formed a key part of the project, including excavation, removal of damaged surfaces, laser grading and the installation of new sporting infrastructure. A combination of Supergrasse, SYNLawn Comfort Plus 30 and SYNLawn CoolPlay systems were selected to deliver durability, comfort and reduced maintenance requirements while supporting year-round use.
Featuring a range of surfacing solutions manufactured by APT Asia Pacific, this project highlights how thoughtfully designed recreational spaces can deliver durability, performance and year-round enjoyment for students and the wider community.
