Located within China’s rapidly developing Xiong’an New Area, Xiong’an Sports Center is a landmark sporting destination that combines striking architecture with world-class athletics infrastructure.
Beijing Jiayi Sunny Trade Company delivered the facility’s eight-lane athletics track using Rekortan M, one of the most widely certified track systems in the world. Inspired by the natural ripples of Baiyangdian Lake, the broader sports precinct blends contemporary design with high-performance sporting facilities to create a destination for both competition and community participation.
The Rekortan M impermeable sandwich system was selected for its proven durability, energy return and all-weather performance. Constructed using a sealed base layer and resilient wearing surface, the track is engineered to withstand intensive athletic use while maintaining consistent performance in varying climatic conditions. Incorporating recycled and renewable materials, the system also supports sustainable sports infrastructure development.
The completed venue highlights how premium athletics track technology can support the development of future-focused sporting infrastructure while delivering the performance standards required for elite competition.
