Project Overview

APT agent, Synthetic Padel Group, is thrilled to complete the installation of the world’s first Laykold Padel Court, after an incredible transformation of a discontinued tennis court into a multisport backyard dream. This private property now boasts a state-of-the-art Padel court alongside a basketball key and futsal court, making it the ultimate play area for active living this summer and beyond.

Constructed with 80% aluminium, this innovative court is one of the greenest Padel courts globally, highlighting our commitment to sustainability. The installation was a collaborative effort, working closely with the team from Grassports Australia to complete the works.

About Laykold Padel Courts

Laykold is the Official Court Surface of the US Open and a recognised leader in racket sport surfaces. Now available for padel, the system delivers professional-grade performance in both residential and commercial settings.

Supplied by APT Asia Pacific, Laykold Padel courts are engineered for durability, safety and long-term performance in Australian conditions. Permanent systems comply with key Australian Structural and Safety Standards, providing confidence across a range of applications.

Each court incorporates an 80% aluminium frame that is rust-free and 95% recyclable, supporting structural integrity with reduced corrosion risk. Laykold Padel Turf Pro is manufactured in Australia using 100% Australian-made yarn, developed for UV stability, durability and consistent playability.

Backed by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 5 years and supported by APT’s nationwide network of specialist Agents, the system is designed for reliable, long-term performance.

Why Laykold Was Right for This Project

Repurposing an existing tennis court required a system capable of integrating within the established footprint while delivering structural reliability. The aluminium frame provides a lighter alternative to steel, supporting efficient installation and long-term corrosion resistance outdoors.

Certified structural compliance and engineered durability ensure the court is designed to perform under local wind conditions and sustained UV exposure.

The inclusion of Australian-made Padel Turf Pro supports consistent ball response, traction and resilience, making it well-suited to regular recreational use.
