Qualipur PU: Liquid-applied,
two component polyurethane
self-leveling coating into which
EPDM rubber granules are cast
and allowed to cure.
Basemat Sealer: Porefiller, this seal coat uses a two-component polyurethane and EPDM Powdered Rubber.
Base Layer: Comprising of a
mixture of recycled SBR rubber granules and polyurethane
binder, that is installed in-situ
with specially designed paving machinery. This base mat is a permeable matrix that provides the athletic track system with excellent force reduction.
Spurtan BV surface layer is made up of coloured EPDM rubber granules cast into a polyurethane flood coat. Upon cure, the excess EPDM granule is swept from the surface, offering an impermeable, flexible, spike proof athletic surface.
Our our most popular, cost effective athletics surface has excellent performance for training and competition, ideal for jumps and run-up facilities.
Spurtan BVSpurtan® BV our seamless in-situ applied, polyurethane based 'sandwich system' athletic track, ideal for all levels of competitive running and athletic stadiums. This quick to install surface is cost-effective, all weather system suitable for jumps and run-up facilities. Easy to maintain and repair. Repairs and resurfacing Spurtan® BV top coating is a liquid-applied system, and therefore damage to the surface can be repaired without full depth replacement. Repaired areas are chemically bound to the adjacent track surface. A major advantage of Spurtan® BV is the ability to rejuvenate the surface by recoating with a 3-4 mm coating of polyurethane that is broadcast with EPDM granules. This repair and resurfacing can also be applied to the Rekortan® M99 system.

Our most popular coloursMost sports grounds opt for the traditional red running tracks, but modern, UV resistant formulations have now made it possible to use a wide range of other colours, below are our most popular colours, please note that other colours are available, please speak with one of our consultants.
Force reduction evaluates a surface's ability to reduce impact force. This mostly relates to impacts generated by lower extremities, for example an athlete running. Our sport surfaces offer greatly reduces tissue damage, joint impact and sports related injuries and player fatigue.
With a high force reduction your sports surface will also provide you with a high energy return, this helps players play long and reduces recover times.
Track surfaces, in general fall into two categories: permeable (or porous) meaning water drains through the surface, and impermeable (or non-porous), meaning water drains and/or evaporates off the surface. The surface for you will depend on your geographical site location, weather conditions and other factors.
Our athletics systems support the use of running spikes, they however should be limited to 7mm max for running events and 9mm max for jump and throw events.
Longer pyramid spikes and all ‘needle’ spikes cause excessive wear and should not be used on our track surfaces. Not only will this lead to early deterioration of your track, it could also lead to potential athlete injury as they could actually produce more drag and decrease athlete performance.
For professional athletes and ambitious runners, keeping a detailed log of your training session and performance is crucial. SmarTracks is the ideal solution. Working in conjunction with Humotion, APT has developed a sophisticated solution for documenting and enhancing training performance of athletes. SmarTracks installed on Rekortan M99 surfaces will enable the highest level of athletic performance.
