APT’s Australian made LigaTurf artificial football turf for sports clubs and schools has been specially designed to deliver year-round usage, consistent playing conditions and minimise injury. Our football turf meets AFL and Rugby Australia Certification requirements.
With increased demand for more all-weather and durable community AFL and rugby fields, LigaTurf artificial turf is a great substitute to natural grass. Most grass pitches begin deteriorating if used more than 20 hours a week. Synthetic grass field can withstand more than 60 hours of vigorous use. LigaTurf offers a consistent playing surface and requires less maintenance which over a lifetime of a field can save both on the pocket and on the environment. An artificial surface opens up the ability for community AFL and rugby clubs to meet the playing demands of the sport.
The new LigaTurf Cross 250 features Polytan’s exclusive Twintuft formulation that provides the perfect balance of protection, durability, softness and strength suitable for professional clubs and players.
The Twintuft formulation combines RS+ monofilament fibres with texturised LigaGrass filament fibres delivering optimum function capabilities in each system.
RS+ monofilament, non-directional fibres offer the highest performance characteristics such as resilience to wear, controlled traction and rotational values.
The texturised LigaGrass filaments promote durability and encapsulate the infill which reduces ball splash.

AFL CA endorses the playing of community level AFL and cricket on a synthetic turf surface that meets the criteria in the AFL CA Handbook of Testing for Synthetic Turf created in 2018. An expert panel regularly review the criteria to ensure that the products are safe and comparable with the playing characteristics of natural grass.
All LigaTurf products are manufactured to comply with the AFL CA synthetic turf criteria for community level football.
World Rugby has produced the World Rugby Artificial Rugby Turf Performance Specification to set a minimum standard for artificial playing surfaces which may be used in rugby. The Performance Specification stipulates the testing and approval procedures which manufacturers and other entities involved in the installation of artificial playing surfaces must comply with in order for their products to be approved for use in rugby.
All LigaTurf products are manufactured to comply with the World Rugby turf performance specifications for community level football with some suitable for professional level football.
